My career began with an apprenticeship in engineering before gaining qualifications in product design and working in a range of roles including freelance manufacturing, mechanical fitting and joinery as well as spending time as a rock climbing instructor and coach. 

I joined the University of Sheffield in 2025 as a teaching technician based primarily in the project space.

Within MEE I am responsible for supporting and developing teaching activities of the project space; enabling students from all courses to to work on projects in a design, build and test format with the aim of giving students invaluable practical experience of the design and manufacture process, practical problem solving and project management. 

As an educator I am passionate about vocational learning and supporting students through hands-on projects from concept to outcome.
