After completing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics, Secha worked as a Research Fellow at the Central Bank of Indonesia. She was responsible for supporting evidence-based policy recommendations for holistic financial inclusion in Indonesia.
In 2018, Secha gained research collaboration with Pulse Lab–United Nations (UN), focusing on creating a Technical Report about Financial Inclusion. The results of this collaborative effort were presented to and received by key stakeholders. Subsequently, her research in financial inclusion was able to have recognition and support from the Central Bank of Indonesia to be presented at their prestigious international conferences in 2015 and 2019.
Secha is a lecturer at the Department of Economics at Pertamina University in Indonesia, where she has dedicated the past seven years to educating undergraduate students. Her teaching portfolio includes subjects of statistics, macroeconomics, Islamic economics, central banks, monetary economics, final dissertation, etc.
Currently, Secha has joined as a PhD student at the School of Economics at the University of Sheffield since 2023.

Secha’s research interests lie in financial inclusion and household finance. In general, she is currently interested in applied microeconometrics by using longitudinal panel data spanning over two decades or longer of observation.
