On the 22nd September our Narrative Stream co-hosted an online information evening exploring ventilation and respiration among people with muscle-weakening conditions.  It was a joint event delivered in collaboration with our partners at Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance.

The aim of the event was to bring talk of living with ventilation out of the clinic and into everyday life.  The sessions were led by speakers with lived experience of ventilation discussing the relationship between their ventilation use and other important parts of their lives such as travelling, parenting, intimate relationships and representation of ventilation in mainstream media.

We’d love to share some reflections from the event with you here and are pleased to repost an excellent piece written by Quinn Clark, Research Assistant with Pathfinders which summarises the event.
