Broomhill Methodist Centre (BMC) is a welcoming community hub in the heart of Broomhill, bringing together families, students, climbers, local groups and people exploring faith.
Our vision is to grow a welcoming hub where people of different ages and backgrounds can build relationships, care for their wellbeing, explore faith and shape community together.
When regular congregational worship came to an end, Sheffield Methodist Circuit chose to listen to local people and imagine a new future for the building. BMC is part of that ongoing journey: creating a space where people can connect with one another, find community, explore questions of faith and meaning, and access support when they need it.
We want BMC to be a genuinely inclusive, accessible and safe place where people are treated with dignity and respect. Alongside our community activities and partnerships, we are developing chaplaincy and listening provision, as well as inclusive drop-in opportunities focused on connection, mental health and wellbeing.
We are continuing to listen, learn and work alongside local people and organisations to shape what BMC can become.

We meet for Climbing Church every Tuesday evening from 7-9pm
Climb, Connect, Explore faith. Open social for all climbers. Free tea, coffee, & biscuits at 8pm

Same-sex relationships are not a barrier to participation, leadership or involvement in the life of Broomhill Methodist Centre. We aim to make Broomhill Methodist Centre an accessible, welcoming and safe space for everyone. We have level access and seek to make reasonable adjustments to meet individual needs. We recognise that accessibility includes physical, sensory, communication, mental health, financial and other barriers to participation.
We are also developing our chaplaincy and listening provision, alongside inclusive drop-in opportunities focused on connection and wellbeing. These will provide welcoming, non-judgemental spaces where people can talk, be heard and find support. We will work with individuals and groups to understand their needs and make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
I’ve found Broomhill [community at BMC] to be extremely welcoming and a fantastic place for people of all abilities to climb together and meet friendly faces every time.
