Atomic force microscopy
Researchers in our Atomic force microscopy (AFM) facility specialise in imaging and force measurement on biological systems, from the sub-molecular level through to cells and tissue.

We currently have five high-performance AFM systems, including two fast scanning systems and two AFMs mounted on inverted optical microscopes.
All of our microscopes are located in low noise, temperature-controlled space which is certified as biohazard containment level two.
