Profile

I joined the Sheffield School of Architecture in 2018, as Studio Tutor in the undergraduate programme.

I am also Director of Harmony Works, a project which repurposes a long neglected grade II* building in Castlegate, Sheffield as a Home for Music Education. The project began as a Sheffield School of Architecture Live Project in 2017 and has grown to be one of the cornerstone cultural priorities of the city and a key part of the successful Sheffield City Council Gateway Levelling Up Fund bid.

I trained at the University of Cambridge and have worked for practices in the UK and abroad. I have led many projects for public sector clients, involving significant participatory processes, including new adaptive apartments in Covent Garden for Soho Housing Association, (Winner of 1996 Housing Projects Award RIBA, DoE and NHBC) and an energy efficient refurbishment of a housing scheme in Bolzano, Italy.

More recently within Benoy, I delivered a £40m town centre redevelopment for Wokingham Borough Council which involved a complex planning and consultation context within a conservation area, including a mix of refurbishment and new build. The scheme won the RTPI ‘Excellence in Planning for a Successful Economy’ Award in 2020 and a National Planning & Placemaking Award in 2016.
