Congratulations to Milena Chyla, Barnaby Andreae and Mae Ghali for their hard work in winning three prizes at the RIBA Yorkshire Student Awards 2023.
BA Architecture student Milena Chyla won the Part 1 prize for her project, Citron Sanctuary. The brief for the project was to design a building for the Citric Association, a community of researchers working with different species of citrus fruits.
We are also delighted that BA Architecture student Barnaby Andreae won the part 1 commendation for his third year work.
From our MArch cohort, Mae Ghali won the part 2 commendation for her project as part of studio ‘Re-activist’ with tutor Simon Baker.
The project demonstrates huge ambition and architectural creativity; developing a narrative interplay between the reality of authoritarian control and an empowered resident community
