Wednesday 26 November 2025 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm
Description
It’s been 30 years since Clive Humby and his wife Edwina Dunn broke the mould of grocery retail with the Tesco Clubcard. And whether you’re an avid collector of your points or not, there’s no denying the role the scheme made in creating big business out of consumer data.
As Clive says: “Knowing your customer means a better shopping experience, better products, better pricing, improved ROI and happier customers.”
But how did Clive and Edwina go from a start-up in the back bedroom in 1990 to convincing the UK’s biggest supermarket to buy into their little known venture? What’s their legacy today? And what does Clive think of the rise of AI and shopping habits of the future?
Join Clive and Dr Richard Bruce on campus for an evening of thought-provoking discussion followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to network with other alumni, staff and students.
