I qualified as an Orthoptist in 1999 and have practiced clinically in a large NHS teaching hospital since graduation. In my clinical role I am passionate about improving the patient experience and providing person-centred care. I have always had a strong interest in the education of Orthoptic students and I joined the University part-time as a University Teacher in 2021 on secondment and joined the University Team full time in 2024. I hold an Honorary Clinical Contract as an Advanced Orthoptist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
