The 2013 Conference saw an Official Conference Dinner at Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield and a Gala Dinner at Chatsworth House, in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Gala Dinner at Chatsworth House, 26th June 2013
The magnificent Chatsworth House has been in the Cavendish family for over 16 generations, boasting splendorous architecture and an art collection that has been evolving for five centuries. In recent years films such as 'Pride and Prejudice', 'The Duchess', and 'The Wolf Man' were shot at Chatsworth, and a recent BBC documentary showed Chatsworth behind the scenes.
The Gala Dinner took place in the Carriage House Restaurant, following a tour of the North Wing of the House, starting with a champagne toast. Coaches then returned the attendees to Sheffield city centre.
The tour included a view of the splendid Library, the Dining Room and the New Gallery, an exhibition space with exclusive temporary art exhibitions.
