UI welcomes Serena Tagliacozzo as part of the ERC Visiting Fellowship Programme

Dr Serena Tagliacozzo is a researcher at the Italian National Research Council and is being hosted at the UI for the month of July 2024 under the direction of Professor Vanesa Castán Broto as a PI of the ERC funded project Lo-Act.

Serena

Serena holds a PhD in Disaster Risk Reduction from University College London and has extensively worked on communication during and after disaster events. Currently she is the project manager of the project gEneSys Transforming Gendered Interrelations of Power and Inequalities in Transition Pathways to Sustainable Energy Systems that investigates gender dimensions of the energy transition by conceptualising energy transition as a dynamic, gendered, mission-oriented socio-technical innovation ecosystem with several ‘subsystems’ (technological, policy, social, environmental, governance, and economic) each one embedding specific power relations.

During the Visiting Fellowship Serena will discuss and further develop her ERC proposal that will look into sustainability transitions-related processes in post-disaster recovery contexts.

If you are interested in topics concerning energy and sustainability transitions in disaster contexts (e.g. for disaster prevention, response and recovery), do not hesitate to get in touch with her at the following address: serena.tagliacozzo@cnr.it
