JustGESI Xchange Series:Multilateral Action, Local Impact:Inclusive Models for the Energy Transition

Join us for an online seminar featuring team members from Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL): Ava Strasser (Gender & Youth Analyst), Arisa Andreani Inagaki (Partnerships and Communications Officer), and Janethkareen Kilonzo Kitsovi (Industrial Engineer, Project Management Professional, and Former STEM Trainee).

Hosted by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), SEforALL works at the intersection of energy, climate, and development, partnering with governments and organisations worldwide to end energy poverty, double energy efficiency, significantly expand renewable energy, and advance climate action.

In this seminar, speakers from SEforALL will share global perspectives on energy and climate action and the critical role of multilateral cooperation. They will discuss how advocacy, policy, and strategic partnerships accelerate a just and inclusive energy transition and support sustainable development outcomes. The session will also explore innovative models for collaboration and financing that strengthen country‑level implementation of sustainable energy and clean cooking solutions.

Participants are warmly encouraged to bring questions, reflections, and examples to the post‑presentation discussion, which aims to foster dialogue on real‑world opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned in the context of energy transition.

About the Speakers

Ava Strasser, Gender & Youth Analyst, SEforALL

Ava Strasser, a Gender & Youth Analyst at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), drives initiatives for gender equality and youth inclusion in sustainable energy. She implements SEforALL’s STEM Traineeship programme and mainstreams gender and youth across the organization’s work. Ava has researched standardising gender indicators for SDG 7 progress and explored intersections of gender, energy, AI, and fashion. Her background includes roles with the NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security and the UN Department of Peace Operations. Ava was a 2025 Women in Energy Fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. Ava holds an MS in Global Affairs with a concentration in Peacebuilding from NYU and a BA in Political Science and Gender & Women’s Studies from Western Michigan University.

Arisa Andreani Inagaki, Partnerships and Communications Officer, SEforALL

Arisa Andreani Inagaki supports strategic partnerships and communications at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), contributing to global efforts across energy, climate, and development goals. In her role, she helps cultivate partnerships that strengthen programme delivery and advocacy efforts including at high-level platforms such as COP. She is also involved in supporting flagship partnerships, including the Platform for Clean Cooking in Schools, and supporting collaborations under the Global Electric Cooking Coalition (GeCCo) and SEforALL’s gender and youth engagements. She brings a multidisciplinary background spanning International Relations and Human Rights, and is passionate about advancing a just and equitable energy transition as a human right. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master’s degree from the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Janethkareen Kilonzo Kitsovi, Former STEM Trainee, SEforALL

Janethkareen Kilonzo Kitsovi is an Industrial Engineer and Project Management professional with a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Dar es Salaam. She is a former STEM Trainee with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), where she supported the Clean Cooking Transition in Schools (CCTIS) initiative in Tanzania. Her work spans clean cooking, energy access, project management, data analytics, and stakeholder engagement. Through her experience with CCTIS, she gained first-hand insights into the opportunities and challenges of advancing e-cooking adoption in schools and communities. She is passionate about inclusive energy transitions, women and youth in STEM, and leveraging innovation to drive sustainable development.
