Code of Conduct: 1-1 Meetings Under 18’s

Attendee Code of conduct for participating in online sessions run by the University of Sheffield.

It is the policy of the University of Sheffield to record meetings with under 18’s for the protection of the student and the staff member. For safeguarding purposes we will collect the following personal details from you for this meeting: name, school details and email address.

We will use these details to contact you about the meeting, any follow up conversations, or to provide information you have asked for. We will only use the school details should there be any concerns in relation to safeguarding during the meeting, as is our legal obligation, to refer these concerns to appropriate authorities. 

The information will be stored in a Google application.  Access to these systems is restricted to authorised personnel and will be deleted after 30 days.

For the meeting please:

  • Make sure you are in a space suitable for an online meeting  
  • Ensure that there is nothing in your surroundings that can identify you or your address.
  • Be aware it is your choice whether to have your camera on or off
  • Do not use any abusive or disrespectful language during the meeting 
  • Do not put any offensive material or language in the chat function
  • Be aware you are free to leave the call at any point. 
  • Be aware the footage will be deleted after 30 days.
