Profile

Shriya joined the University of Sheffield in Nov 2023 as a PhD student. Shriya is an interdisciplinary researcher whose areas of interest are mainly focused on inequalities and intersectionalities, with a particular interest in food system, nutrition, women's health and climate change. Here she will be researching Inequalities in market access to nutrient-dense food in Rural India. Prior to joining the University of Sheffield, Shriya worked for two years at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Shriya completed her Master's and Masters of Philosophy (MPhil.) in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences India in 2021, where she studied inequalities in access to maternal health care services and the intricate interplay between dietary intake, environment, and maternal health outcomes.
