I completed my PhD in Bioimaging and Biophotonics (Plant Science Applications) at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, University of Sheffield, under the supervision of Dr. Adrien Chauvet, with co-supervision from Prof. Stephen A Rolfe and Prof. Stephen J. Matcher.
My PhD research focused on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) as a novel imaging tool for providing cross-sectional and three-dimensional, non-invasive, in vivo monitoring of plant microstructures in real time. The aim of this research is to evaluate the potential of OCT for field applications, enabling early disease detection to minimise chemical use, optimise plant health, and support more sustainable food production.
