Share your idea - find collaborators through SCYPHeR
We know that developing a research idea into a full project can sometimes feel challenging - especially when you’re not sure who to collaborate with or where to start.
The South Yorkshire Children and Young People’s Health Research (SCYPHeR) Partnership is here to help make those connections.
By bringing together researchers and practitioners from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, and Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, SCYPHeR aims to strengthen research in children and young people’s health across the city.
About the Research Idea Form
This form is designed to collect research ideas from anyone working in children’s health. Whether your idea is well developed or still taking shape, we want to hear from you.
After you submit your idea, the SCYPHeR team will review your information and, where possible, help connect you with researchers or clinicians who share similar interests. Please note that SCYPHeR cannot provide direct project development or funding support, but we can facilitate introductions to potential collaborators.
Who can submit an idea?
We welcome contributions from anyone involved in or passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
What happens next?
- Your idea will be reviewed by the SCYPHeR coordination team.
- We’ll identify individuals or research groups with relevant expertise.
- Where appropriate, we’ll make introductions to help you explore collaboration opportunities.
You’ll hear back from a member of the SCYPHeR team once we’ve reviewed your submission.
Tips for completing the form
To help us understand your idea clearly, consider including:
- A short summary of your research question or focus
- The main issue, challenge, or population you want to explore
- Any existing work or collaborators you’re aware of
- The kind of expertise or connection you’d like help finding
Your idea doesn’t need to be a full proposal - even a few lines can be enough to start a conversation.
Data and privacy
The information you provide will be viewed only by the SCYPHeR core team and used solely to identify potential collaborators. We will not share your details publicly without your consent.
