Sheffield Futures
We're excited to announce the launch of our new Sheffield Futures Partnership, an initiative that aims to strengthen links between the university and schools and colleges.
Through the Sheffield Futures Partnership, we offer a package of activities and guidance for students and their supporters to build knowledge, skills, and opportunities to support higher education exploration, with a focus on The University of Sheffield.
Partnership benefits:
- Priority admissions application service: 5-7 days turnaround
- Priority enquiry response time from our friendly enquiries team
- Bespoke admissions support
- Financial travel support towards a visit to our fantastic campus
- Y9, 10 & 11: HE exploration in-school sessions
- Y12 & 13: HE Info, advice and guidance in-school sessions
- Y12 & 13: Academic subject sessions*
- Y13: Results day & Clearing prep workshop
- Attendance at the 2026 Russell Group Teachers & Advisors conference
- Teacher CPD session in collaboration with Advancing Access
- Parents & supporters session
We also provide additional support for students who are from underrepresented backgrounds in HE. Students who meet our Access+ criteria can also benefit from:
- a contextual offer up to two grades below the standard A Level entry requirements for their course
- a bursary to help reduce travel costs to an open day and offer holder day
- online help and guidance sessions to help them understand more about Access+ and applying to university
- a transition mentor to guide and support them during the summer before they start their studies
