Keira Payne

Hi! I am Keira, a Student Recruitment Intern for the University based in Sheffield.

I studied an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science here at Sheffield and graduated in 2025. After pursuing a Master’s elsewhere I was set on coming back! I very much missed my Sheffield life- the green spaces, independent shops and cafés, live music and the people I met whilst studying.

My role as an intern involves travelling up and down the country to visit schools, deliver talks, represent the university at careers fairs and share my own experiences. I am there to chat and answer questions on everything the University has to offer as well as student life in this fantastic city. I also work behind the scenes, collaborating with our Recruitment Officers on various projects, to help ensure the prospective student experience is the best it can be!
