Dr Katharine Boon

I have been a clinical tutor with the Sheffield D Clin Psy programme since 2003. I qualified from the University of Leeds D Clin Psy in 1997 and I have continued to work in clinical practice alongside the clinical tutor role. My main clinical areas of interest are working with people with complex trauma, so-called 'emotionally unstable personality disorder' and dissociative identity disorder. In the clinical tutor role, being part of trainees' personal and professional development is a real privilege.

On the Sheffield D Clin Psy programme, I oversee the Clinical Skills teaching and the Observed Clinical Skills Assessment. I have been fortunate to build strong relationships with expert by experience colleagues over many years and I look forward to further developments in collaborative and innovative working on the programme.
