Dr Aneta Piekut (MRG Co-Director) and Dr Anna Gawlewicz (University of Glasgow) gave a talk reflecting on highs and lows of using Facebook, and specifically Facebook Ad Manager, to recruit participants to a study on 'Health, social, economic & cultural impacts of Covid-19 on migrant essential workers in the UK'. The online survey collected 1,105 (valid) responses, and 66% of respondents were recruited via Facebook Ads targeting Poles living in the UK during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
The webinar was delivered on 7 April 2022 as part of a seminar series ‘Facebook as a research tool’ organised by Prof. Anja Neundorf and Dr Aykut Öztürk at the University of Glasgow.
