CMI Town Hall event

Students' Union concourse

Event details

Description

Please join us at the next CMI Town Hall event on Wednesday 12th March 2025 at Inox, with networking lunch. Open to all with an interest in AI.

Join colleagues from across the university's AI/data/digital research community for this event, focused on Governance and Innovation

- This is an especially timely theme with the recent developments at the AI Action Summit Paris, from where CMI Theme Lead Susan Oman reports that a key Summit takeaway is the false dichotomy of regulation vs innovation.

The event is in-person only and will include: an update from Prof. James Marshall, Director for the Centre for Machine Intelligence, introductions from our new team members and a keynote presentation from Prof. Helen Kennedy on the Public Voices in AI research project, hosted by the Digital Good Network

You will also be introduced to new team members, the AI research engineering (AIRE) team and hear research pitches on AI-related research.

Have research, a problem/solution, and/or a service you would like to share? We invite all to give a short pitch on any aspect of their research and/or activities related to AI -  please give details and/or register to attend by completing this form.
