Description
The teaching of anatomy has evolved considerably through the ages and this exhibition looks at how the subject has been studied at Sheffield.
The exhibition begins with an investigation of the new technologies which are dramatically changing the way that anatomy is being taught at the University of Sheffield. It looks back to when anatomy teaching was often problematic and sometimes unpopular, and to 1904 when the subject was established at the University. The exhibition also offers the opportunity to see centuries old anatomy textbooks from the Rare Books Collection which show the pioneering science of the early anatomists and the technical briiliance of their illustrators and printers.
