The School of Law is a welcoming community of students, academic and professional services staff. Here's a list of some useful contacts within the school.
Student Experience Office (SEO)
The student experience team will be the main team that you will contact as you progress through your degree at Sheffield. If you have any questions at all relating to your course, module choice, assessments or your studies generally please contact them.
There's a number of ways you can contact the SEO team:
- In-person by visiting the Bartolomé House reception desk which is located on the right as you enter the building. Their opening hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm (subject to staffing levels).
- On the phone: 0114 22 26817. This phone line is open Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm (subject to staffing levels). If your query is outside of these hours we would recommend that you email us.

Academic Tutor
Every student in the School of Law is allocated an Academic Tutor for the duration of their degree and you'll be advised who that is once you have joined us. Your tutor will have an overview of your journey through your studies and will be able to advise and support you in relation to a range of matters, including writing academic references for you.
If you have an academic or personal problem which could affect your performance on the course, e.g. health, family, relationship, you should make sure your Academic Tutor knows about it. Your Academic Tutor will have two designated feedback & consultation hours each week during the Semester which you will be advised of once term is underway. You will be able to book onto a one to one meeting about anything you wish to discuss with them (usually via google appointments).
