Service Desk Analyst

As part of an established Service Desk team, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to university students and staff via our phone line, Self Service portal, live Chat and our face-to-face TechBar service.

Main duties include answering queries, troubleshooting problems, and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and general IT services. Documenting support tickets and maintaining accurate records of support interactions for escalating complex issues to the appropriate technical support team. Maintaining current knowledge of university IT policies, procedures, and technologies. You will demonstrate strong customer service and team working skills, have an interest in IT along with superb communication skills.

Senior Teaching Technology Specialist

Senior Research Platforms Engineer

Senior IT Support Technician

As Senior IT Support Technician within the IT Asset Support (ITAS) team, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of a customer-focused IT support service, prioritising student and staff experience with the University's IT Services department.

You will be responsible to provide - both in person and remote - second line support resolution for complex customer requests, end user devices, hardware, operating systems, software and cloud-based applications and configuration of network services for Windows and macOS. You will provide the senior escalation point for customers, and you will be responsible for organising operational work and projects, including the prioritisation and delegation of scheduled jobs and activities. You will act as the technical expert, share knowledge, and design and develop plans to improve the skills of colleagues and customers.
