Study abroad for a year

If you want to take your horizons to a truly global scale, then the university's Study Abroad scheme is for you. If you take part, you'll be able to spend a year studying at a university in Europe, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore or the United States of America.

Short-term international experiences

Summer schools

Summer schools give you the chance to study abroad during the summer break. Some degrees offer field trips. We also offer support for students who volunteer internationally and undertake work placements abroad. You can find out more about summer schools.

Global Summer Experience

If you are a home student and achieve at least A*, A, A in your A levels (or equivalent), the University of Sheffield will pay for travel costs to and from an overseas summer school, on top of your tuition and accommodation during the experience.
