At Sheffield I learnt a lot of useful skills and accumulated a lot of experience.
Why did you decide to study this degree programme?
Since I was young, I have been very interested in the past things as well as enjoying contacting and learning about them. Archaeology is the subject of proving and studying the human past through remains and sites, which is exactly the field I want.
What did you enjoy most about your course and the subject you were studying?
In addition to theoretical courses about archaeology and heritage, there are also practical sections in my program, so that I can better understand the link between these two and the knowledge of them.
What attracted you to the University of Sheffield?
In addition to being a world famous university, the Archaeology department is also very famous. Such a great learning environment is a very good step for me to move towards the future, where I can not only improve my academic knowledge, but also develop my various abilities.
What did you do when you finished your degree at Sheffield?
Fortunately, I have been employed by one of top UK commercial archaeology companies, Wessex Archaeology, as a geophysical technician.
How did the department and/or University help you to work towards reaching your goals after graduation?
I was able to find the job I wanted largely with the help of the University and the Department. In particular, my supervisor has provided helpful advice and support in my job selection and application process.
What do you like most about working in Sheffield?
There are many advantages to working in Sheffield, one of my favourites is the location. Because it is located in the middle of England, it is easy to go everywhere, which is very important for someone like me who loves to travel.
