Why did you decide to study your programme?

I chose this programme because of its strong emphasis on both theoretical and practical aspects, which align with my career goals. What I like most about the programme is the inclusive and equal learning environment, as well as the access to cutting-edge research.

What does a Typical Week look like?

A typical week for me includes attending seminars, independent research and study, working on group projects, interspersed with public and private leisure activities.

What skills and experience have you gained during your course which will help you to reach your goals after graduation?

The main skill is critical thinking, which is very important in the UK education system. Additionally, my program has taught me a lot about digital and cultural expertise, as well as management skills. These will be invaluable in my future career.

Have you had the opportunity to get involved in projects or activities outside of your studies?

Yes, I have participated in some volunteer projects (such as ARISE and serving the elderly), Residence Life, and some social movements. The international and multicultural environment has made my university experience even more enriching.

What made you want to study in the UK and specifically the University of Sheffield?

I want to study in the UK because of its world-class education system and the compact and efficient one-year programs. I chose the University of Sheffield because of its excellent reputation and its emphasis on students and research.

Has the university been supportive during your transition to life in the UK?

Yes, the university has been very supportive, offering orientation sessions, workshops, and all kinds of activities to help international students adjust to life in the UK.

What do you like most about living in Sheffield?

What I like most about living in Sheffield is the friendly and welcoming community. In a comfortable pace of life, everyone can find their own value. I also really like the city’s balance between urban life and nature, with plenty of cultural events and outdoor activities to enjoy.

What is the postgraduate community like?

The postgraduate community in the Digital Humanities Institute is very diverse and friendly. The program supports numerous group projects, during which we often share resources and provide feedback on each other’s work, creating many valuable memories and genuine friendships.

Do you have any advice for students from your home country thinking about studying your course?

My advice is to take advantage of all available resources, actively participate in class discussions, and build connections with classmates and professors. If possible, try to find your interests and direction as soon as you can.
