On May 13th 2024, the Hearing Research Group joined the Pint of Science Team at The Lescar pub to talk about "Why you lose hearing after exposure to loud sounds". Hearing is the main sensation for social experience. It allows us to communicate effectively, as well as listen to music and television. This talk explored how hearing works and the mechanisms that are responsible for deafness induced by exposure to loud sounds.
