Equity and inclusion in maternal and child healthcare
From policy to action in a participatory co-designed research project on access to health among women from marginalised populations in rural Nepal. A project by Sarita Panday.
This project is developed from my PhD research that found issues of inequitable access to, and limited utilisation of, maternal and child healthcare services among women from marginalised groups in Nepal. Using a participatory video research alongside interviews and focus groups, this 24-month fellowship explores issues of equity and inclusion in access to maternal and child healthcare services. The findings will be disseminated through policy workshops to assist policymakers in promoting the engagement of women and marginalised families in political processes in Nepal.
