Break the mould

All the preparation leading up to pitching as a finalist for Project Vex involved a huge amount of work and dedication. We had to clearly present the business, showcase VEX iterations and provide strong validation for the product. It also meant refining our vision, understanding how we would bring it to market, and building as much traction as possible. The majority of the journey came down to hard work, persistence, and constant improvement. Pitching in front of a panel of three experienced founders and entrepreneurs was incredibly inspiring and made the whole experience even more rewarding.

Plans for the next 6 months 

We are now entering our data collection stage where we will be deploying our product across houses, apartments, kitchens, and garages with varying levels ofmould. The data collected will then be labelled and used to train our algorithm.

Severe mould affects over 2 million households in England, causing real harm to both health and homes. We are building the VEX, a device that monitors and predicts mould growth. It will allow landlords and tenants to act early, before the damage is done.
