Bump is a music technology company creating hardware, software and AI tools that make music production and DJing more accessible, accurate and enjoyable. Its first flagship product brings modern performance feedback into traditional DJ setups. The idea came from years of experience and a desire to remove barriers for the next generation of music creators. 

Winning this award is a big moment for Bump. It’s a strong signal that the problem we’re solving is real and that the opportunity is big. Music technology hasn’t evolved in decades, and we’re building something that finally brings it into the modern era. The support from the University of Sheffield means a lot as a graduate, and it gives us even more momentum as we move towards launch. Over the next few months, we’re focused on bringing Bump to market and revolutionising the music-technology industry.

Plans for the next 6 months

Over the next six months, we will finalise our manufacturing-ready prototype, complete design for manufacture (DFM), and begin tooling and first-batch production. We will launch a Kickstarter campaign to validate demand, secure early customers, and build brand awareness ahead of a full UK and EU launch.
