Profile

Eko started his PhD at the School of Economics, University of Sheffield in January, 2021. He obtained his Bachelor of Economics degree with a Major in Accounting from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia in 2005. In 2013, he finished his Master of International and Development Economics degree from the Australian National University. He also holds a Master of Science in Economics degree from Gadjah Mada University, which he obtained in 2014. His masters degrees were sponsored by Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia and the Australian Development Scholarship. Currently, his PhD study is funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship.

Research interests

Thesis: Behavioural Economics and Tax Compliance in Indonesia: Unravelling the Path Towards Taxpayers' Compliance in a Developing Country Settings.

The project includes conducting randomised controlled trials to examine Indonesian taxpayers' behaviour and its determinants.
