Our Expertise

The Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU) provides high-quality support in running interventional, multi-centre clinical trials and other well-designed studies from the planning and design stage right through to analysis and reporting. We work closely with investigators, the research governance sponsor and other collaborators to ensure smooth running of all study stages. Our research has had a direct impact on the care of patients and health care services in the UK and worldwide.

Studies are complex, challenging, and often expensive. Our team has experience in wide range of clinical trials and studies and can provide advice and expertise on:

Our Trials and Studies 

The CTRU is currently working on a wide array of trials and studies, ranging from investigating hand splints to looking at new ways to potentially help physical recovery post-stroke.

In recent years the unit has also worked on multiple studies that have now completed, and is constantly working closely with clinicians and other healthcare experts to develop grant applications for new trials.
