Dr Cheryl Shaw

With a background in Industrial materials analysis and failure investigation, Cheryl received her BEng(Hons) and PhD in Materials Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002 and 2009, respectively. Her PhD, focused on the Environmental Degradation of Aerospace Materials, under the supervisor of Dr Syed T Hasan.

In 2011 Cheryl joined the Sorby Centre for Electron Microscopy as an Experimental Officer, where she provides advice and support for scanning electron microscopy; specialising in consultancy failure investigation for external clients.
