Google Meet is a video conferencing and online meeting platform developed by Google. It allows individuals and groups to host and participate in virtual meetings, webinars, and video conferences.

- How to create a Google meeting via meet

- Go to Google Meet's website: meet.google.com.
- If you're not already signed in to your Google account, sign in using your Google credentials.
- On the Google Meet website, select "new meeting" then select "start an instant meeting".
- You will be in a virtual meeting room.
- How to create a Google meeting via the calendar

- Go to Google Calendar (calendar.google.com) and sign in to your Google account if you're not already signed in.
- Click on a specific date and time on the calendar grid to create a new event.
- Enter the event title, date, and start/end time.
- Add any relevant event details, such as a description or agenda.
- In the "Add guests" section, start typing the email addresses of the participants.
- Google Calendar will automatically generate a Google Meet link for the event. Participants will receive an invitation with the meeting details and the Google Meet link.
- Once you've added the necessary details, click the "Save" button to create the event.
- At the scheduled time, you and the participants can join the meeting by clicking on the Google Meet link provided in the event invitation.
- Setting up camera and microphone

- When you join a Google meeting you will be prompted to allow your camera & microphone.
- To do this select the lock icon located to the left of the address bar.
- Select the microphone and camera sliders.
- Once these have been selected your microphone and camera should work.
- How to present (full screen, tabs or window)

- Join or create a google meeting.
- Access Screen Sharing:
- Select the icon that looks like a rectangle with an arrow located at the bottom.
- A menu will appear, allowing you to choose what to share:
Your Entire Screen: Choose this option to share everything on your screen.
A Window: If you select this option, a list of open windows will appear. Choose the specific window you want to share.
A Chrome Tab: If you're using Google Chrome, you can choose to share a specific tab in your browser. - After selecting the screen, window, or tab you want to share, select the "Share" button.
- To stop sharing your screen, click on the "Stop sharing" button, usually located at the bottom of the screen.
- Send a reaction

- Create or join a Google meet session
- When you would like to send a reaction select the face icon.
- Select the reaction you wish to send.
- Raising hand

- Create or join a Google meeting.
- When you wish to raise your hand select the hand icon located at the bottom.
- Turn on captions

- Start a new meeting or join an existing one.
- Select the three dots located at the bottom right corner of the screen to open the menu.
- Select "Turn on captions."
- Real-time captions will start appearing at the bottom of the screen, providing text representation of spoken words.
- If you want to turn off captions, select the three dots menu again and select "Turn off captions."
- Sharing a Google meeting

- Join your google meeting.
- In the bottom right-hand corner select the "i" icon.
- You will now see the joining details.
