Ilina holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies (Accounting and Finance) from The University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College. Currently, she is a PhD Student at the University of Sheffield, Management School. Her PhD aims to identify and assess whether implementing circular economy practices in the food supply chains results in positive social performance, while also accounting for and assessing the economic and environmental performance.
Ilina was actively involved in the project management and implementation of research projects funded by the EU (Horizon2020 and Erasmus+), through her 5-year engagement with CITY College’s research centre SEERC, and she has experience in project proposal writing. The projects she was involved in were related to environmental sustainability, circular economy and resource and energy efficiency in various fields and sectors. Lastly, in 2019, she worked closely with the Triple Helix Association’s president Prof Henry Etzkowitz, where she held the position as the research assistant to the president.
