Welcome Week timetable

This year Welcome Week takes place on week commencing Monday 22 September.

Throughout the week there'll be lots of events to help you explore the campus and city, make friends, and find out how the university can support you. Information about University-wide activities will be shared with you directly in the run-up to Welcome Week.

During Welcome Week, we’ll also be holding important sessions and activities to introduce you to the BMedSci Nursing (Adult) programme.

A provisional timetable will be shared on this page soon, so please bookmark this page and return to it closer to the time.

Any changes to your Welcome Week timetable will be communicated to you by the BMedSci Nursing (Adult) team.

Nursing training plan

Our adult nursing degree is a full time professional course, which means you'll spend approximately 37 hours a week studying (either on placement or studying theory). This means the course doesn't follow the usual structure of other University programmes when it comes to semester breaks.

To help you prepare for this, we've shared a copy of our training plan for all three years of your degree. This includes the schedule of your theory and placement blocks, as well as specific blocks of annual leave which are pre-planned throughout the year.
