Holly qualified as an Optometrist in 2016 after graduating from the University of Bradford and undertaking a pre-registration year at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. She went on to practice as an Independent Prescriber Hospital Optometrist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience in a wide range of clinical settings.
With a particular interest in paediatric eye care, Holly pursued a PhD at the University of Sheffield, focusing on accommodation asymmetry in children with hypermetropic anisometropic amblyopia.
In 2025, she was appointed as a University Teacher in Orthoptics at the University of Sheffield, where she now combines her clinical background, research expertise, and passion for teaching to support the next generation of Orthoptists.
