You are here Home School of Allied Health Professions, Pharmacy, Nursing and Midwifery Healthcare apprenticeships Our apprenticeship programmes Level 5 and 6 apprenticeships Nursing (18 months) This 18-month apprenticeship provides students with the clinical skills, knowledge and confidence needed to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an adult nurse. Nursing (2 years) Apprentices on this two year nursing programme spend two days per week in their base area during year one, followed by one day per week in their base area during year two. Student Nursing Associate This accredited Nursing Associate foundation degree programme covers all four fields of nursing: Adult, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Child. Speech and Language Therapy Qualify as a speech and language therapist over four years through a combination of work-based learning and online study. Orthoptics This three-year (36 month) degree apprenticeship allows you to combine work and study, and qualify to practise as an orthoptist. Level 7 apprenticeships Advanced Clinical Practice (GP) This three-year apprenticeship enables you to expand the scope of your practice and qualify as an advanced clinical practitioner within general practice. Advanced Clinical Practice (Neonatal) Play a leading role in caring for newborn babies, and expand your clinical knowledge and practical skills in neonatal care as an advanced clinical practitioner. Advanced Clinical Practice (Paediatrics) Expand the role you play in caring for babies, children and young people as an advanced clinical practitioner in paediatrics.
