- Research interests

Ghada’s research focuses on the experiences of Muslim immigrant women, who have limited English language proficiency, of the city; she explores these experiences specifically in Sheffield as a city of sanctuary. The project focuses on the perspective of this group of women who are predominantly Arabic speakers and with whom Ghada shares a language and a culture. Considering the emigration/immigration duality, the project is an inquiry into how multiculturalism is constructed in the city, and the barriers that this group of women encounter in this process.
