Profile
I currently hold a British Academy International Fellowship, through which I will develop NAVIGATE, a two-year research project exploring the situated geoeconomics of infrastructure in Mediterranean port cities. NAVIGATE brings together forensic accounting, elite ethnography and knowledge co-production to unpack current infrastructure-led development strategies in the region, and to establish a foundation for strengthening their financial and democratic accountability. As trade and mobility networks move to the centre of contemporary geopolitics, the project will develop new knowledge to foreground the situated geographical, social and political context in which infrastructure-led development proceeds.

Prior to this role, I have worked as researcher on different projects, including the ERC-funded GlobalCorridor and the Next-Gen Eu-funded New Italian Geographies of Logistics at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. An analytical focus on logistics infrastructure, urban transformation and their uneven impacts permeates these projects and my research interests.
