Krzysztof is well-positioned to contribute to the UI’s mission of addressing the challenges facing contemporary cities through interdisciplinary research and innovation. His work on the spatial practices of various religious communities and the broader implications of religious worldviews in urban contexts. This distinctive perspective complements the UI's work on the socio-technical, political, cultural, and ecological dynamics of everyday urban live.
His recent work has investigated religious and social media infrastructure among Brazilian Pentecostals and the spatial reflections on Muslims' segregation in Britain, thus exemplifying his commitment to understanding how religion influences urban life. This led to a book launch co-sponsored by the UI of his recent manuscript .
Krzysztof is looking forward to developing a research strand within the UI focussing on religion and urban spaces, exploring how religious worldviews and practices intersect with urban development, social cohesion, and spatial justice, in the context of the UI's work on urban epistemes.
