Thursday 30 January 2025 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Description
Join us on Thursday 30th January 2025 (1300-1400) for an insider take on what we can learn from the case of the World Cities report about how to shape international agendas.
The World Cities Report is produced by the United Nations Human Settlements programme (UN Habitat) and provides a comprehensive overview of what needs to be done at the international, national and local levels to achieve the change needed to respond adequately to the climate crisis.
UI’s Professor of Climate Urbanism, Vanesa Castán Broto and Visiting Fellow, David Dodman are two of the external authors who contributed to the report. They will join Professor Liz Sharp (School of Geography and Planning) and Professor Andy Hindmoor (Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute) in a dialogue, to draw on their experiences of mobilising academic research to shape international agendas.
