Who is the post-results open day for?
Our post-results open day is for:
- Prospective undergraduate students who have received an offer through Clearing to start their studies at Sheffield in September 2025 or September 2026.
- Students who have met the conditions of their Access+ offer, turning their status to the “Unconditional Firm” status following results day.
Booking links for the post-results open day can be found in the email invites we have sent to Clearing and Access+ students.
You must complete the booking form in order to confirm your place.
What happens at the post-results open day?
Subject exhibitions
11am to 3pm - Level 4, Students' Union
Our subject exhibitions are your opportunity to talk to student ambassadors (11am - 3pm) and academics (12pm - 2pm, clearing courses only*) about life at the University of Sheffield.
All subjects will have a presence at the event and can be found on Level 4 of the Students' Union.
Breakout spaces for informal conversation will be available in the View Deli and Gallery presentation spaces.
*To guarantee your opportunity to speak to an academic about your course, please make sure you have booked your place before 3.30pm on Friday 15 August 2025.
Student panels - The Sheffield student experience: All about joining the University of Sheffield
11:15am* and 1pm - Discovery Rooms, Level 5, Students' Union
Hear from current students about their experience of joining Sheffield, their life as a student, and learn about the ways we'll support you in your transition to studying here.
You will also have a chance to speak to our panel and ask any questions you have.
*Access+ students can join our 11:15am session via Zoom. This gives you the chance to find out about the Sheffield experience and ask your questions from the comfort of your own home.
Online attendance is for Access+ students only and must be booked in advance.
Dyslexia and Disabled Student Support
12pm - Discovery Rooms, Level 5, Students' Union
Find out everything you need to know about our support for disabled and dyslexic students. You will also have a chance to speak to our team and ask any further questions you may have.
Campus tours
First tour departs at 11am | Last tour departs at 2:45pm - Garden View, Students' Union
Join one of our student led campus tours where you can see some of our iconic buildings and teaching spaces. You will also have the opportunity to ask our student ambassadors about what it's really like to be a student at the University of Sheffield. Please note: only a limited number of buildings will be open for internal viewing on the day.
Accommodation tours
First tour departs at 11am | Last tour departs at 2:40pm - Durham Road
As part of your day you can visit our award-winning Endcliffe and Ranmoor accommodation. You can view our en-suite rooms and check out the outstanding facilities and beautiful green spaces.
We’ll be offering shuttle buses to our Endcliffe Ranmoor Student Village departing from Durham Road bus stop (behind Octagon/Opposite Q Park) and dropping visitors at Oakholme Road.
The shuttle buses will be running every 20 minutes and members of staff and ambassadors will be on hand to direct you and answer any questions. If you wish to make your own way there, free parking is available at Stanage car park (S10 3AF).
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that visitors will be able to view a room they have secured or be able to choose one of the rooms that they view on the day.
Visitors should leave 45 minutes for the tour to and from campus.

11am to 3pm - Students' Union Plaza and Activities Zone, Level 3, Students' Union

Accept your offer zone
11am to 3pm - Activities Zone, Level 3, Students' Union
Our accept your offer zone is where you will find admissions staff ready to answer any specific questions about offers to study at Sheffield.
We will also have a number of laptops available for Clearing Offer Holders to log into UCAS and accept their offer whilst on campus.
What do I need to do on the day?
All students need to register on arrival. On arrival, please head to our registration desk in the Students' Union main entrance where a member of staff will be available to scan the QR code in your booking email. Please ensure you have access to your booking QR code on the day.
The registration desk will be staffed throughout the day, and act as an information hub for visitors who need any support or guidance during their visit.
Can you help with my travel costs?
We know that sometimes the cost of travel can make visiting us in person challenging.
If you meet our Access+ criteria we might be able to refund you with our Access+ Travel Bursary.
What if I can't attend?
We have a number of alternative online events available as part of our post-results day activity at Sheffield, including:
20 August 2025: Moving to Sheffield online session
Moving to a new area can be a bit intimidating at first. Join a Zoom panel of Sheffield students to hear everything they’ve learned since moving out to live independently.
Pick up top tips and have your moving questions answered. The session takes place on Wednesday 20 August at 12 noon to 1pm and 5pm to 6pm.
