Currently a PhD student in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Researching how communities are creating sustainable food systems with schools. My research is based at Arbourthorne Community Primary School in South Sheffield.
Previously undertook a BA (Hons) English Literature at Durham University and MSc Marketing at the University of Birmingham before going on to have a 6 year career as a researcher in industry working for charitable, government and corporate organisations.
I then enacted a career change, studying MSc Psychology at the University of Nottingham, whilst also working as a Teaching Assistant in a school and working at a food co-operative. This led me to pursue the interdisciplinary PhD I am working on now.
My research interests include critical pedagogy, food justice, wellbeing, care, community and belonging.
