COP29: The State of Climate Negotiations in an Age of Polycrisis
Description
The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures and The Department of Politics and International Relations present:
COP29: The state of climate negotiations in an age of polycrisis
A live in-person event where we will discuss the ongoing negotiations in Baku, the University of Sheffield’s involvement in this and previous COPs, and the potential impact for our region, country and the world.
Is the COP process fundamentally broken? Is there a viable alternative? How do we balance observation and criticism with support and legitimisation?
There will be a mix of short presentations and a round table discussion.
