We are pleased to announce that the Storying Relationships' project partner, the Glasgow Women's Library has been shortlisted for the prestigious Art Fund Museum Award 2018 and are the only Scottish museum to make the award.

The £100,000 prize will be given to an outstanding museum that seeks innovation and exceptional achievement in encouraging people to visit and will be selected from a number of museums and galleries across the UK.

The nomination is on behalf of the Glasgow Women's Library's community-driven approach and innovative ways of inclusion that seeks to encourage interest and work in public campaigns such as gender, representation and inequalities. The Glasgow Women's Library is the only accredited museum in the UK dedicated to improving women's lives.

The project has been working closely with the library in hosting creative writing workshops for Muslim women with guests including author Safina Mazhar, playwright Sara Shaarawi, feminist campaigner Talat Yaqoob and blogger Faiza Yousaf. There has been fantastic interest in the collaborative creative writing workshops and participants will be showcasing their work at our celebration event on Saturday 29 September 2018. Booking is open. Email Dr Nafhesa Ali on n.ali@sheffield.ac.uk.

We wish the Glasgow Women's Library all the best for this nomination, which is well deserved. Winners will be announced at the Victoria and Albert Museum on July 5.
