Programme Partners

The South Yorkshire Office for Data Analytics Pilot has been co-funded by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) and the University of Sheffield. A programme board consisting of representatives from both organisations has been established to oversee its implementation.

The programme board of any future permanent service is planned to include a much greater representation from South Yorkshire and other partner organisations.

The SYMCA is responsible for making regional policy decisions and in order to do this they need access to data, better understanding of available data, data analysis and intelligence. 

The University of Sheffield has analytical and academic expertise that can be used to develop collaborative solutions to challenges and policy issues.
