Who we are and what we do

We are the ISSAC Team at the University of Sheffield, we are not the Sheffield Student Team at UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). Using the contact details on this page will not put you in touch with the Sheffield Student Team.

New student queries

If you are a new student with a question about your offer or your CAS, these queries are dealt with by our Admissions Service.

Opening hours 

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 10:00am to 12.30pm, 1:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:30am to 12.30pm, 1:30pm to 4:30pm

ISSAC's in person service will be closed on the morning of Friday 8 November. We will re-open at 1:30pm on that day.

On Wednesday afternoons we host a specialist 'Wednesday Work’ visa drop in. We suggest that students with post-study work visa questions come at this time if possible.

Chat with us

Live chat is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Using live chat is the quickest way for your query to be dealt with. If you click on the link above outside these hours, you can send us an email and we will aim to respond to you within five working days. When chat is live, you can also choose to send an email instead if you prefer. To do this, you can click ‘Contact International Student Support’ after submitting the chat request.

Do not send your query more than once, doing this will cause delays for us to respond to your query.

ISSAC aims to be available to take telephone calls Monday to Friday between 10am to 12pm, and 2pm to 4pm.
