One of our Co-Directors and some of our students are currently attending the 8th CIRP Conference on High-Performance Cutting in Budapest, Hungary.
Jack Palmer (4th year) presented a paper entitled 'The influence of abrasive grit morphology on wheel topography and grinding performance', Huseyin Celikag (3rd year) gave a presentation on 'Cartesian stiffness optimization for serial arm robots' and Lisa Alhadeff (3rd year) presented on 'The application of wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) in the prototyping of miniature brass gears'.
The conference was held at the Pesti Vigadó, Budapest's second largest concert hall, situated on the east bank of the Danube river. Congratulations everyone on your excellent papers! Take a look at some more of the photos below:
